Description

My name is Mario A Dias dos Santos and I am a male home carer with a extensive experience in the field. I am flexible and multi-skilled in various care types including live-in, hourly, and overnight care. My expertise lies in supporting individuals with mild cognitive impairment, bedbound patients, those suffering from anxiety and depression, as well as those with osteoporosis.

While I do not currently have a car, I am able to drive and I am more than willing to use my own means of transportation to reach my clients. I have a good interpesonal multi skills. In my years of caregiving, I have developed a range of skills such as bathing, toileting, assisting with dressing, catheter care, and providing companionship. These skills have been invaluable in helping my clients maintain their independence and quality of life.

Outside of my caregiving work, I have a variety of hobbies that bring me joy and balance in life. I enjoy taking long walks, cooking and baking delicious meals, reading, listening to music, and writing. These activities help me recharge and bring a positive energy into my caregiving role.

In addition to caring for people, I also have a fondness for animals. I have a preference for cats, fish, birds, and turtles as pets. Being able to connect with pets can bring joy and comfort to both the clients and me.

Above all, my motivation for being a carer stems from my desire to help people lead independent lives. I find immense satisfaction in knowing that my care and assistance can make a positive impact on the lives of those I work with. My personality, containing a Great multi cultural and diversity approach, en plus is caring, attentive, friendly, and helpful, ensuring that each client I support receives the highest level of care and attention. Also, (a part the English) I can speak as well: Italian, Portuguese, French and Spanish!

I am very happy to be given the opportunity to highly recommend Mario da Assuncao N. Mario was the primary carer for my father over a period of almost two years. My father was aged 100, had suffered a fall and, though mentally fully alert, was physically incapacitated. The care was in my father's own home where Mario (helped with very brief visits from NHS carers morning and evening) worked for four hours each day looking after my father's needs, including making delicious, healthy meals and keeping the house in good order. My father was an intelligent man with a good sense of humour and Mario was an amusing and affectionate companion - he for example looked out my father's favourite music music, engaged him in conversation and made sure he was as comfortable as possible. Mario is generous, capable, kind and entirely reliable. He engaged with my father in a warm and thoughtful way. My father was extremely lucky to have him.
